Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games

The Paralympic Games 2022 will be held in 10 days from 4 March to 13 March 2022. There will be 78 sporting events where we will see athletes from all over the world , compete towards the conquest of the Cup. 736 Paralympic athletes will be involved in 78 medal events. From snow sports, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowboarding and ice sports, there will be many events that will pay homage to the legacy of the Games Beijing Paralympics. But there will be Italy which will present itself with 32 athletes in 4 disciplines and will thus return to host the Winter Games for the third time, 20 years after Turin 2006 and 70 years after Cortina 1956.

Sports that will be played:

  • Alpine skiing: downhill, super-g, super combined, giant slalom and slalom,
  • Biathlon: standing, sitting and vision-impaired
  • Cross country skiing
  • Para-hockey on ice
  • Snowboard: snowboard-cross, banked slalom and giant slalom
  • Wheelchair curling

Calendar:

  • March 5: U / D downhill skiing (10: 00-13: 10), biathlon (D and U) 6km (sitting 10: 00-11: 15, standing 12: 00-13: 15, vision-impaired 14: 00-15: 15)
  • 6 March: Alpine skiing super-g U / D (10: 00-14: 30), cross-country skiing 18km men (sitting 10: 00-11: 35) and 12km women (sitting 12: 30-14: 00)
  • March 7: Cross-country skiing men 20km classic technique (standing / vision-impaired 10: 00-12: 00) and 15km women classic technique (standing / vision-impaired 12: 30-15: 00), snowboard cross U / D ( Finals 11: 30-14: 30).
  • 8 March: Alpine skiing, super combined U / D (super-g 10: 00-12: 30, slalom 13: 30-14: 30), biathlon 10km U and D (sitting 10: 00-11: 15, standing 12 : 00-13: 15, vision-impaired 14: 00-15: 15)
  • 9 March: Cross-country skiing, U / D free technique sprint (semifinal and final 12: 00-15: 00)
  • 10 March: Alpine skiing, giant slalom (U) (9: 30-11: 30, 13: 00-15: 00)
  • 11 March: Alpine skiing, giant slalom (D) (9: 30-11: 00, 13: 00-15: 00), biathlon12.5km (U and D) (sitting 10: 00-11: 30, standing 12: 30-14: 00, vision-impaired 14: 30-16: 00)
  • March 12: Wheelchair curling, gold final (14: 35-17: 30), Alpine skiing, slalom (U) (9: 30-11: 00, 12: 30-14: 00), cross-country skiing 10km free technique (U) vision-impaired / standing (10: 00-11: 15) and 10km (D) free technique vision-impaired / standing (12: 00-13: 30), Snowboard final banked slalom U / D (12:00 -15: 00)
  • March 13: Ice hockey gold final (13: 00-15: 30), Alpine skiing, slalom (D) (9: 30-10: 30, 12: 30-14: 00), Cross-country skiing, 4x2 mixed relay .5km (10: 00-11: 30), 4x2.5km open relay (12: 00-13: 30)
